I run several MacPros with this multi-GPU constellation, runs very nice. You also need OS X 10.11 or 10.10 (not Sierra!) and later Nvidia Webdriver for Mac. Instead I recommend to put one (or two) nvidia GTX 980ti or a titan X black into your MacPro (google how to '980ti in mac pro'). Look Mac Pro 3.1 Best Video Card Upgrade on d9.geumkaysmacgv.site. It won't work, unless APPLE helps Nvidia supporting driver development for the new GTX 10x0 / Pascal Architecture.
